Hello guys,
Need little advice from you guys.
My wife is having her citizenship interview and oath ceremony on April 30th.
My AOS Documents are almost ready and i am just waiting for her to become US Citizen. I just need her Naturalization certificate which i can attach with my I-130 application as proof of her citizenship.
after she become citizen, should i wait for a week or 2, before i send my AOS application to USCIS or just send it right away.??? if i send my application on the same day she become citizen........does that gonna create any problem for my AOS case ???

Hi,
My employer has initiated my H1 B visa for our client which is a telecom giant. I was denied H1B with the reason that I am a Mechanical Engineer. The document says that as a mechanical engineer I need 6yrs exp. I already have more than 4yrs exp in IT. The thing which wonders me is that, 2 of my engineering classmates got their H1 approved. Is there any clause which says about this. Please help me.

Why is Gary looking outside of USA to tap potential home buyers? Just for folks who aren't aware - there are 500,000 high skilled legal immigrant already in USA who are waiting in queue for numbers of years to get their Permanent Residency. Thanks to the limited visa availability based on country chargeability (birth of applicant) and inefficiency of immigration system, these highly skilled, tax paying and law abiding immgrants are waiting for their Green Card (Permanent residency). Some of them have studied here, worked here for years and US is almost a second home to them. They are sitting on pile of cash, Yes - PILE OF HARD CASH. They wouldn't buy house or any big ticket items until they get Green card. Why not give these people, who are already part of our system, conditional Permanent Residency who buy houses. My passport is expiring in March. I live in NY metro . Does anyone knows the procedure to renew the passport while in the USA. Please share your experience.
Its very easy and simple. Go to NY Indian Embassy web site and follow the procedure/process to renew passport. It takes about 1-2 weeks, after you mail the old passport along with other documents, for Indian Embassy to process and mail you back the new passport. Good Luck!

Can somebody please throw some light on this issue.
I have an approved H1extn till 2013 but I had moved to the new location and new project since then but I don't have a new LCA. And now when I'm planing to go to india and appear for visa stamping I don't have the new LCA for my current location.
When I asked my lawyer, she said that I need to apply for fresh H1 extn. This doesn't make sense to me, Can I only get new LCA for my new project location ?
Do I need to get my H1B amended with this change ?
Please help me on this ...

This plea is for people who are still undecided about the rally and have lot of friends in the same situation. If there is a group of friends in the same situation it only takes one brave soul to make a decision and every one will jump in. We all seen this in trivial matters like going for vacation, movies etc..
I see the problem is in taking the first step and others will jump right in immediately. So if your friends look up for you to make the decision, please be a leader and do it now. You will not only make a difference in their life and their life as well.
Can you take that elusive first step?????. People in and around DC area it's only a day trip. Atlanta/NC/SC folks, not too late. Please PM either me or ramus.

I have got my EAD, and my application was filed in EB3, 2005 in perm.
With the kind of speed USCIS is working with, I fear I would never get my GC.
Whereas My brother is a Citizen. Can it be possible that he files family based GC for me ?
I have read that for family based applications they regard the priority date as date of filing I-130.
If I do so, will my current process be wiped off ?

I know if you consultant you get paid by hours but not when you become full time employee.
Overtime is paid only if you are a non-exempt employee - usually means you get paid hourly. If you are an exempt employee, then you are not eligible for overtime. Not sure if this is different in different states, but that is how it works in Ohio.

I am Computer Engineer with H1, and i need the requirements for Canada PR,
eg , Do i need TOEFL or IELTS ? Do i need a Job Offer there? My Dads cousin brother is in Toronto, Do i get ant benefits (as it would be tough to prove the relationship)
Any help would be appreciated..

Check out data for China. It shows significant reduction from last month. Expectations are low for India but China will advance a lot in July.
This is done in preparation for the spill over (fall down); they have used up all of "china's own" numbers and now they will actually retrogress EB2 China (to move it along with EB2 India) to distribute spillover (fall down); the VB will come with a "long explanation" as to why the retrogression for EB2 China despite of low demand....
