Is there any NewJersey Based applicant who filed 140/485 after July 30th ..got transfered to TSC and got receipt?

My Cases is
I filed 140/485 on Aug 3rd at NSC. Did not received receipt yet.
I opened Service request on 11/6.. and today IO told me that my application must have been transfered to texas, as I am NJ applicant.

I worried , if my application is not lost somewhere.

If there is anybody in similar situation. Please respond.

Is letter from employee needed for filing I-485 for my spouse. I filed I-485 under EB3 last August and it's still pending. She takes my PD and my PD will be current in May. I have an old letter from my employer when filing my I-485 last August but was wondering if a new letter from employer is needed or the old one would do.

My lawyer explicity told "NOT" to flipflop even without me asking.

My attorney has asked for the I-485 to be printed:

double sided with Flip to Top option.

You need to turn in all your I-94 cards, e.g. I-94 below the H1B approval notice, change of status. When you re enter the new I-94 card will have a new number so old ones if you kept would become useless. I would highly recommend that make copies of all your I-94 cards at I-485 they can ask you provide old I-94 cards Have seen cases where this has happened.

If I am not wrong, you must be paid by your consultant. So, those missing days should be a working days as per your consultant is concerned. I work on site too. when there is holidays that my consultant doesn't approve, Consultant pay for those missing days. I am not sure how your consultant is going to utilize you for those missing days. Talk to your consultant, they should be able to help you. Good luck

Your wife can apply for SSN and can work on using EAD. This will not affect your status. You can still work on H1.

1) If I work for a company A ,Can I get my Green card processed by Company B by future employer option

2) If so when do I have to leave company A or is there any way I can continue with Company A and get my GC processed through company B.

Yes, it is possible to get from Company B.

You need to join company B when you get your GC.

Hi,

Here is my current Status :

I485 : Filed in July 2007
PD : April 2006
EAD : Valid till 27th August 2010 (filed for renewal last week)
AP : Valid till Jan 22nd 2011
H1B : Valid till Jan 22nd 2011

My employer is still the same who filed for my GC (and helping me keep my H1 current) Last couple of time when I went to India I have used AP to re-enter the US. My wife used her EAD to get a job locally - but now she has quite and she is in India. . I am currently in process of getting my H1 stamped on my passport, get H4 for my wife and son (who was born on July 30 2010 in India)

MY QUESTION IS : What should we use to re-enter the US ? AP or H1/H4 ?
Will my H1 and EAD still be valid ? or will I lose one of them ?

Please let me know. I do not want to take a wrong step since I am so close to getting my GC.

Dear Friends,

Does anybody has information on the current lag between check cashing and getting receipt in the mail?

My check for 485 was cashed on August 20 (process by my bank) and the online case status says receipt was mailed out. But my lawyer has not received it as of today.

Hi,

I had applied for my H1 extension in June 2008 and waited for some time and then upgraded it to premium processing in July. I did not get any result on my H1 extension but in the meantime my GC was approved in August. My question is will i be able to get my H1 processing fee back, at least the premium processing fee. I heard if your H1 processing doesn't get any result in certain time you will be entitled to get your money back.

I highy doubt it that you will get any fees back from USCIS. If you ask about the status of your H1 they will just get back to you saying that your H1 application was rejected since the applicant is n longer in Non Immigrant status as your status chnaged to Immigrant as soon as your Green Card was approved. You can try but very few people have actually recieved fees back from USCIS. Good luck
