Exactly! Those Blendtec blenders aren't cheap!
And for anyone "hatin" on this company, don't buy a Frap at Starbucks then, they're made with these blenders...

Check out the inventory tracker in MR iPad forum for Best Buy, Target, etc.
I placed my order online at the Apple Store and have been waiting patiently for a April 20 delivery. Yesterday I checked the inventory tracker and it turned out my local Best Buy had stock on the 16GB WiFi black, just as I ordered it from Apple. Literally 15 minutes later I was up and running with my new gear & cancelled my Apple store order. No waiting in line or wasting any more time with the whole process. Why wait if you can grab it locally?
I'll have to check this out... I can't find one here locally anywhere and the people at the counters have no clue when stock is coming again. Best I got was check back or take a look at the shinny new Xooms in stock! :p

If an app is good . . . and available on both platforms the devo will make BREAD on the Android side. . . . fragmentation or not.
And, really, it's only a matter of time before developers start to focus exclusively on Android. Then we're really back to where Apple/Windows was in the 80s and 90s.

Not possible. Glasses free 3d requires very narrow viewing angles, you cant move your head around or the 3d effect is lost.
I know that but what I meant was that with further development of the technology this narrow viewing window might be able to shift sideways (not widening it) so that it's always where your eyes are. I'm just speculating and imagining and I don't know if there's any possibility for this technology to ever work this way, I'm pretty sure that 15 years ago no one thought that glasses free 3D would be practically possible

I don't want a 'magic' magazine, I just want the magazine on my iPad and so I'm happy with Zinio. They want to sell zillions of copies they need to get their subscription rate down to the level of the mail subscriptions and make it easy to get them. Cute movies, animations and the like? Put a link to the web.
Magazine publishers: If you wasting any more resources than just making it an intelligent PDF file you are wasting your time and forcing the price up to the point no one wants your product. Learn from Steve - when doing something new make it build on what came before - people aren't going to get something new and unfamiliar in style or price, especially a much higher price.

I doubt there will be a silver bullet feature that will blow away vista, but overall improvements will take OS X to the next level.
but what is there to get excited about? spotlight (which is rarely used) is faster...wooo... running windows easier...great, not really an upgrade to the mac os, though...
i'm going to assume we're gonna get these things, but there will almost certainly be some big features that we haven't thought of yet.

One of the guys mentioned they'd already got the date for when Intel Mac Mini's with Leopard will be in store. Wait for it... April 2007:( . It seems unlikely that Leopard will pounce onto our screens in January.
Well, one, they really don't know the date. Nobody does yet, probably not even Apple down to the actual day. And two, Steve himself said Leopard wouldn't be shipping until at least the northern Spring so there shouldn't be any speculation about a January release.
We'll get an all-singing, all-dancing preview of Leopard at MWSF combined with (I think) the iTV launch - or at least a bigger preview and the announcement of a shipping date and proper name - the release of iLife '07 which always takes a long time, a freshly updated iWork suite and maybe an addition to the iPod line.
Aside from the Mac Pro and the Mac mini there aren't any available upgrade paths for the Mac until April next year with the Santa Rosa chipset so I don't see any major Mac-related news for MWSF. It'll be all about the consumer electronics and Apple moving into the living room.

so they are shipping the Kinect with: a power cable, an usb cable and this Kinect port cable ?
I don't think anyone has seen exactly what the cable setup looks like.
why not simply ship it with power cable + usb and save on the manufacturing of an extra, special cable and designing a whole new connection port on the motherboard ? not to speak of confusion for customers
LOL, confusion? Do you have an old 360? Plug it in to the wall, and use USB. Do you have a new one? You use the single "Kinect" cable? If that task is hard for someone, then I don't think ANY level of simplification will help them.

well sure iphone 5..... I will buy it too, no doubt.
but then I think iphone 4 is powerful enough to hold a lot of those "dual core" phones for another 6 months or so...........
look at how HTC is pumping up new phones all the time
yet I still love the iphone more..........
(though I think I need to switch my iphone 4 batteries soon... especially after jailbreaking... it's sucking the juice fast!!!!)
WHAT I WANT IS IPAD 3 with RETINA DISPLAY!!!!!!

I really do not get this either - so I can back up my media files to Apples servers?
I have a macbook pro, iphone, ipad and we have a family iMac my music collection is stored on all of these and a time capsule why would I want to store it all again in a (often) inaccessible place?
I am a UK user and I subscribe to Spotify and it has its glitches (and annoyingly some content holes) but it is fantastic! I cannot believe that Apple would not be going down this route at some point.
or
Maybe Apple want to extend the social networking aspect of its business, maybe you could 'lend' cloud stored content to friends? just like we used to borrow LPs of our friends for the weekend etc? I think this is way they might be going with this.

Independent studies have found Wikipedia to be about as accurate as Encyclopedia Britannica, with Wikipedia having longer articles that Britannica.
Yes, and the length of an article is a good indication of the accuracy of that article, isn't it?
Let's get a grip here; apple is not going to make ipods that burst in to flames!
No, they make laptops that do that.

What would you do to update them, then? What is there to update? Add another USB 2.0 slot? Dire need for nothing. As long as they are selling, there won't be a change, not until the new processors start rolling out come september - december.
iMac - speed bump (Yonah goes up to 2.33 GHz)
Mac Mini - price drop (tad bit over priced compared to the educational iMac)

That's not how steam works. When you purchase something through steam, you can download and install it as many times as you want. If your computer crashes, all you have to do is reinstall steam log into your account and redownload it. This is one of the reasons why steam is so popular.
as far as the price. $50 for games is standard, especially for pc ( and I guess now mac ). It costs millions of dollars to make and promote a game. Most games for consoles are $60 and there PC counterpart are $50 because both microsoft and sony take $10 off each sale. If you are concerned with the length of the game, go read a few reviews and they will all tell you the game is much much longer then the original, plus it includes a co-op mode with different levels. $50 seems pretty good to me.
Also, it's supply/demand. Millions of people are going to go out and spend $50 on the game, so why not sell it at $50? The nice thing about steam is, if you can find it cheaper elsewhere, you can still install it on your PC/Mac and play it through steam. But a lot of people are willing to pay the $5 extra to get the convenience of not needing to ship or wait in a line to buy the game.
the streaming distribution of the game is much cheaper then phyiscal copy distribution. I just saying they can add an incentive to make people download it, and they make more MONEY. Which is a given they are making alot more per digital copy sold compared to phyiscal copy sold. There is sizible production cost with making phyiscal copy, distributing to retailers, and then giving cut to retailer who selling it. Especially as the title gets older and retailer take more on each sale.
Currently, I noted that it is cheaper to buy physical copy then it is to buy digital copy. That shouldn't be the case. And I believe eventually wont be the case in future for software. I not debating that there are costs involved with making these games, I am debating what the streaming model should look like. It show be cheaper.:o

Gapless playback is good news but oh dear, if new iPod "games" are the level of announcements - even at the beginning - then this is going to be a big, big disappointment of a keynote for some people... :p

the whole thing seems to point into direction against muslims believes, because most western europeans and governments seem to lump them all together in one big pot ..muslim..must be a murder and terrorist and a destroyer of democracy and in the same way it is argued that muslims punish their wifes as they please in the name of allah
so i guess if we dont count these extremist hate preachers then we are left with the fact that muslims are just human beings like christians, jews, buddhists, atheists,.......... sorry to lazy to list all the religions on earth dont even know all of them or how many different religions there are
as in the "Humanist" philosophy, each persons religious theology is unique, therefore the answer would be equal to the current population of the Earth and thats changing constantly
and if we want to live together in peace it would be a good idea if all sides would start to respect each other and would not take our self to serious and try to find a compromise all can live with, as that would be true democracy, everything else is just a lie

People have had similar worries about the RFID (radio frequency identification) tags used in passports, subways, and which stores may use to manage inventory. Many of us are walking around with data on us that can be scanned or with information being transmitted from our gadgets.
Most people don't seem to be worried about this type of problem. And even if they were made aware of the small potential risk, they might still choose convenience -- being easy to identify and track when they want it to be easy -- over privacy and safety concerns.
Meanwhile, if researchers regularly point out potential flaws, manufacturers may think a little bit harder about privacy concerns.
